MSI just announced a new partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where MSI gets to slap on the Dodgers logo on the Wind Top AE2220 all-in-one desktop and on the 10-inch Wind U135DX netbook. The LA Dodgers will get their entire IT system updated with MSI systems, including Wind Tops for the Dodger Stadium front office. (But who are we kidding? No one outside of the Dodger’s payroll really cares about that part of the announcement.)
Anyway, the new Limited Edition Dodgers systems might interest you if you’re a Dodgers fan. The Wind Top AE2220 Dodgers edition looks pretty cool, with a white frame printed with ball stitching, and a smattering of the team’s logos all around.
The AIO system is built around the 22-inch touchscreen, and is powered by a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GBs of RAM, GeForce 9300 graphics, and a 640GB hard drive for storage.
The netbook still looks like the original Wind U135, but the lid gets the Dodgers treatment too. It’s still pretty much the same netbook, featuring a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455, 1GB of memory, and a 250GB hard drive running under the hood.
Expected out “very soon,” MSI didn’t give any pricing details for the two systems. They didn’t mention any production numbers either (so we don’t know exactly how ‘limited’ they’ll be), but it’s probably safe to assume that it won’t be much of a hit in San Francisco.
