Burger King recently opened a new tech-ified branch Japan, featuring a new concept to make your burger-eating experience a little more “musical.” The new restaurant will feature what they call “Sound Spots,” the new branch has a number of booths with a slot for playing tunes from a docked iPhone or iPod, and a shower-like speaker contraption overhead that limits the music (or noise) to the booth under it.

The concept apparently works: according to the reports, the speakers spew out good audio quality, and the sound is reasonably limited to its intended audience—so apparently, it’s okay to be seated at the next table.

Maybe we’re getting a bit old, maybe we’re just a bit skeptical, but we’d still go for the burgers alone. Last time we checked, headphones are still the best way to not annoy other people with your musical tastes.
