Razer’s Tron-themed mouse and keyboard look awesome, even if you’re not into Tron

Disney Consumer Products and gaming peripherals maker Razor teamed up to come out with new gaming gear inspired by Disney’s upcoming TRON: Legacy movie. Never mind if you weren’t a child of the 80’s and you don’t have an idea what the original Tron movie or Tron arcade game was all about: this desktop set looks sweet.

They’ll be coming out with just a gaming mouse and keyboard (sold separately) to celebrate the TRON movie, but since neither don’t have any TRON logo on ‘em, they should be safe to own for the long haul, regardless of how good or bad the movie turns out to be. Both will feature Razer’s usual set of performance gaming features, with Razer’s 5,600dpi, 3.5G sensor on the 5-button mouse, and the macro-programming abilities on the keyboard.

The keyboard’s numeric keypad on the right side also detaches from the body if you want a more compact kit, but other than that, what makes both products stand out is the TRON-inspired lighting that we’re hoping will be tuned with Razer’s APM lighting system (like what they did with the Starcraft II-themed set they recently announced). It’ll make for a pretty awesome desktop if you can find a desktop chassis with the lights to match ‘em. According to the release, they’ll also be coming out with a high precision mouse mat, although they didn’t mention any other details for it. (Nothing to get excited about… it’s a mouse mat. That’s all you need to know.)

No word on exactly when the two products hit the stores, but the prices are in: the mouse will cost $80, while the keyboard will set you back $140.
