iHome’s new iP39 dock for the kitchen will help you cook ihome ip39

Okay, it won’t actually help you cook, but this iPod dock for the kitchen is certainly set up to keep you company while you do. The iP39’s stainless steel and black plastic body is designed to match the rest of the kitchen décor (provided that the stuff in your kitchen is made up of stainless steel and glossy black surfaces) and it should also be easy to clean in case you make a mess.

First the iPod-based basics: it’s primarily a dock for charging, syncing and playing content from connected iPods and iPhones through built-in speakers, and functions just like any clock-radio dock that’s usually available for Apple’s players. For added functionality, it has a USB port for charging other mobile devices, an on-screen clock that syncs to your iPhone’s set time, and a bundled remote with a magnetic backside for conveniently parking it on the fridge door.

As for the kitchen-specific parts? Nothing much, really. Just a couple of independent timers that you can quickly set so it can alert you when it’s time to take out the meatloaf. It’s priced just right though; the tag’s set at $100.
