Grace Digital Audio has just come out with the Eco Extreme All-Terrain MP3 Speaker, a portable speaker kit that’s built to survive the elements. Perfect for music-loving outdoorsy-types and for people who are just tired of hearing the usual sounds of bird songs and crickets on the trail.
The kit sports a 3-inch, 3-Watt full-range speaker protected by a water and dust-resistant shell that cracks open to also house your device. It’s listed to fit in popular phones and MP3 players, including the iPhone, Moto Droid and Blackberry handsets, and connects via a standard 3.5mm jack inside the case so you don’t have to pull out your player in the rain. Powered by three AA batteries, it’s listed to last for up to 30 hours of playback, and comes with a carabiner clip for hanging it onto wherever you can clip it to.
