Nokia’s N8 and its 12-megapixel cam may have sounded like a big deal when it was first announced, but if you’re into really powerful phonecams, this might be something worth checking out: Taiwan-based Altek has just put out a couple of teaser images of the “Leo”, an upcoming 3.5G phone that boasts of a 14-megapixel cam with a 3X optical zoom.

It hasn’t been officially launched yet (and no one really knows if it’ll ever be available outside Chinese territories when they do launch it), so the amount of info is a bit limited, but here’s what’s been revealed so far: the Leo will feature a touchscreen, 720p video recording, and both LED and Xenon flashes. Wi-fi connectivity will also let you upload photos and videos online from the phone. No word on the operating system yet, but the button layout makes it look like it’ll run on Android.

More details should be available when Altek launches the Leo during the CommunicAsia show in Singapore in June.
