We’re not sure how many people will necessarily get swayed into buying an E72 because of a new color option, but in case you needed another reason to pick one up (you really don’t need another reason. The E72 is solid.), it now comes in a special White edition kit. This comes roughly a month after they introduced the attention-grabbing purple E72.
Nothing much more except for the new color, although the kit comes complete with the accessories to match, including an “equally pristine BH-216 bluetooth headset and C-313 jeweller.” We really have no idea what a “C-313 jeweller” is, but it’s packaged with the phone. As for the phone itself, it’s still the E72 inside and out, but Nokia also added an exclusive white theme and homescreen to match the shell.
For everyone else who already owns an E72, Nokia announced a software update that’ll give you the latest version of Ovi Maps with free voice-guided walk and drive navigation plus free Lonely Planet and Michelin guides to go with the GPS function. The update also improves general stability and performance for Email, calendar, contacts and the phone’s browser, and adds internet radio support. A pretty significant update, and worth the time if you’re an E72 owner.
You can get the new update through the Nokia Software Updater. The White edition will cost around $327, and should come with the latest software update.
