Just like the iPhone, Android gets Sirius Sirius for Android

Digital radio brand Sirius XM has just expanded their services to the Android community by announcing an upcoming Sirius XM app for Android. Similar to the app they made for the iPhone platform, the Android version features over 120 channels’ worth of Sirius XM programming via 3G and Wi-Fi streaming.

The new app will also allow Android users to save favorite stations (handy with everything that’s available) as well as multitask—in terms of radio-surfing—by letting them browse to other channels without disconnecting from what’s playing.

There’s one downside to this though; the new Sirius XM app will only load on phones running on Android 2.x. Tough if you’re still rocking an older Android kit, but newer phones, like the Droid and Nexus One are supported.

It’s still listed as “coming soon,” but the download will be offered for free when it’s released. Sirius XM gives users a 7-day free trial for the Premium Online service, but you’re going to have to pay for the unlimited service if you want to use it after that. Give ‘em your email at their site if you want a download link as soon as they release the app.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
