Microsoft Docs Beta app goes live on Facebook
Software, The Net - Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

Who says Facebook is counter-productive? Okay, it still is, but there’s now a new Docs app for the popular networking site that’ll at least let you get some work done while you check your friend feeds.

Created by FUSE Labs, the app is based on Microsoft’s Office 2010 platform so it shouldn’t look alien to anyone who’s used to Windows PCs. The new app gives users the ability to view, create, upload and share Office documents with anyone else in the social network from anywhere—as long as “anywhere” has an internet connection that’ll let you access Facebook. It’s like Google Docs with the way that it lets you share and access documents across remote PCs, but using the same social network that you usually use to play games with.
