High end cans for Red Sox fans: Monster Cable outs Beats Studio Red Sox Edition Beats Studio Red Sox EditionMonster Cable, the company behind the Beats line of headphones have partnered up with Major League Baseball team Boston Red Sox to come out with this set, the Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Red Sox Edition. It’s comes with basically the same set of features that you can get with the original Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones, but with a Red Sox-inspired design, a longer name, and the potential to catch either admiration or scorn from the people that see you wearing it, depending on where you’re based. (Tip: rocking this set around Fenway park should get you some home-team love. On the other hand, Denver Colorado probably isn’t the best—or safest—place to wear these. It’s going to take some time before Rockies fans wash away the stink from that 4-0 World Series sweep.)

Whether you spring for the original black or white set or this Red Sox-covered design, you still get the same high-end features though: skipping on the specifics, you’ll get awesome studio-quality sound quality with clear highs and deep bass to go along with a built-in digital amplifier to boost the volume without distortion. The headphones also feature ambient noise isolation and an isoniTalk microphone adapter for use with an iPhone or other mobile phones that supports a 3.5mm jack.

The Red Sox design comes with a premium on price. It’s listed to sell for $400, or $50 more than the original Beats by Dr. Dre Studio set. But if you’re a die-hard Red Sox fan—and there really shouldn’t be any other kind of sports fan aside from the die-hard variety—it’s definitely something to add to your collection.
