Asus shows off aluminum shelled Eee PC 1218 netbook   Asus Eee PC 1218 b

Asus just gave details—or at least a few photos—for an all-new netbook that’ll be designated as the Eee PC 1218. No word on an actual spec, but this new fourth-gen Eee PC stands out with a brushed aluminum shell (including a single-piece aluminum palm rest and keyboard frame), a unique port layout, and smooth curved edges.

Now available: The HTC Droid Incredible on Verizon   Verizon Droid IncredibleHTC’s Droid Incredible, the Android-running smartphone that’s currently on top of Verizon’s Android phone line, is now available. Packing a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen and 4GBs of internal storage space, it’s an upgrade over the Motorola Droid. It sports a spec that’’s mostly comparable with the Nexus One, but an 8MP cam and HTC’s updated Sense UI interface is an upgrade over Google’s smartie.

Kindle 2.5 software update adds social networking features   Amazon Kindle DX

Amazon has announced a new Version 2.5 software update for the Kindle and Kindle DX that adds a number of features and improvements for the popular reader, most notably the ability to update Facebook and Twitter accounts with favorite quotes or passages from a book. Not necessarily flexible as a social networking component, but it does add to the theme. It’s all about books after all, right?

Nokia E72 now comes in white, adds new software update    Nokia E72 White Edition

We’re not sure how many people will necessarily get swayed into buying an E72 because of a new color option, but in case you needed another reason to pick one up (you really don’t need another reason. The E72 is solid.), it now comes in a special White edition kit. This comes roughly a month after they introduced the attention-grabbing purple E72.

This GPS phone by Garmin Asus is made for walking   Garmin Asus A10 aThe partnership between GPS-maker Garmin and electronics giant Asus is on a roll. After releasing the nüvifone M10 and A50 so far this year and the Garminfone under T-Mobile earlier this month, they’re launching another one called the A10. It’s still based on Android, and it still heavily focuses on GPS as much as it’s a phone, but this separates itself from the other nüvifones with a custom GPS app for on-foot navigation.
