If you don’t want to lose your dog but you can’t afford to “upgrade” your pet with a GPS tracker, there’s a simpler digital solution: the Flexi PC Pet ID Tag. It’s a simple waterproof/shockproof USB drive that clips onto your pet’s collar that you can use to store your pet’s info.

This 64MB USB drive can store vital info. It should also be able to hold a paltry 16 MP3 songs, but your dog shouldn't mind.
It comes with its own auto-running program that’ll ask you to type in vital info, such as address, contact number, medical and dietary info, (it might also be wise to add reward info for finding your four-legged friend in here) that should make it easy for anyone who finds your lost dog to contact you. The USB drive is plug-and-play, and should work with any Windows PC to keep it simple. Of course, if a homeless dude should find your precious pup, you’re out of luck.
Unfortunately, in case your dog is stolen and not just “lost,” you didn’t just lose your pet to a criminal, you also gave him maintenance info. Not to mention a 64MB USB drive that he can use to store around 16 MP3 songs. But don’t get any ideas; we hate pet thieves. Also, there is no honor in stealing (or owning) a USB drive that’s smaller than 2GBs. It’s just wrong. Not to mention cheap.
If you’re interested, the PC Pet ID Tag is currently selling for $15 at ThinkGeek, or $18 at Amazon.
