The general info has already been put out on how soon you can start pre-ordering Apple’s iPad, but that just basically told Apple fans to keep refreshing the iPad’s page all day on March 12th. In case you need to know when exactly to log in and press the “sign me up for an iPad please” button, here’s the official store info, straight from Apple’s PR: “Customers can pre-order online at apple.com at 5:30am Pacific time (or 8:30am, Eastern) on Friday, March 12.” If you somehow find yourself without internet access during that time, don’t panic. You can always walk into an Apple store and make a reservation.

Just remember that March 12th is just the date to pre-order your iPad—the actual product ships on April 3rd for everyone, but judging by the usual level of hype, you might want to place a reservation if you’re looking to own get yours on that date. For buyers living outside the US, you can join in on the usual Apple pre-order frenzy, although you’re going to need a US-based shipping address. If you want to wait, the official international release is slated for sometime in late April.
