Sony pimps stylish headsets to Asian markets Sony DR 350USBSony has just announced a line of new headsets that feature clean, modern lines and stylish colored cans. They’re full headsets though, with built-in microphones for online gaming and voice chats (VOIP, Skype, IMs, etc), limiting the kits’ stylized designs to a desk.

Three models have been announced: the DR-350USB, DR-320DPV, and the DR-310DPV. The DR-350USB is obviously meant for desktop/computer use for gaming and voice chats. It connects via a USB connection, and comes with a detachable mic stalk (labeled as the “voice tube”). Available in black, gold and red colors, the cans come equipped with 30mm drivers that give it better bass, plus an inline remote for controlling volume and muting the mic.

The 320DPV and 310DPV are more conventional sets that use a standard 3.5mm connection and an inline remote, with designs that are split to cater to the sexes. Features are pretty identical to the 350USB, although the 320 and 310 doesn’t come with the detachable voice tube, coming instead with microphones integrated into the headsets.

The integrated mic shouldn’t be much of an issue if you don’t plan on using voice-dependent apps though; if anything, the absence of the mic stalk and the use of a standard 3.5mm connection makes them more flexible for use on any other portable device, where the stylish design counts a bit more. The 320DPV will be available in gold, blue, red and black, while the 310DPV will come in pink, white, silver and green colors.

Pricing for the new cans haven’t been announced, although they’re being set for a release (at least initially) in Asia Pacific markets this month.
