MSI has just unveiled the Air Keyboard, a wireless 200-gram keyboard that comes with built-in motion sensors that you can hold up and wave around to move the mouse pointer. Yeah, like a Wii controller, but see, it’s shaped like a keyboard with 80 keys including the standard QWERTY set plus multimedia buttons.

Tech for couch potatos: It's a keyboard with a motion sensor. What for? Because using a mouse from the couch can be difficult. Why? Because it's possible.
Rebranded by MSI from Cideko, the Air Keyboard is primarily designed for… controlling your computer wirelessly from a couch, it seems. It looks like something that you can get comfortable on a couch with though; it’s designed to be held with both hands, with ergonomic molded edges for comfort and a pair of “bumper” buttons along the shoulders that act as mouse buttons, effectively eliminating the need for a mouse.
A row of media buttons line the top of the Air Keyboard, with controls that include the usual volume controls and track skips that’ll let you control your media center without having to get up. The keyboard connects wirelessly with the use of a USB RF adapter that’s listed to have a range of up to 50 meters (around 164 feet!), and is powered by a pair of AA batteries that should be good enough for 50 hours of constant use.
No word on official MSI pricing and availability yet, although the original Cideko-branded kit is already selling in Germany for 79 Euros (around $110).
