Bluetooth headset specialist Jabra has just unveiled a nice new Bluetooth kit at the Mobile World Congress called the Clipper. What makes it good? It’s a pair of good-quality in-ears with a Bluetooth connection at the end (at the “clip” part) that lets you listen to stereo-quality audio and talk hands-free on a phone without making you look like a workaholic if you wear it all day.
The Clipper supports A2DP that lets you listen to stereo music over a wireless BT connection. One of the buds comes with a multi-function button that lets you control track skips, volume, and incoming calls. It can pair with up to two Bluetooth devices at a time, letting you pair it up with two phones, a phone and a portable player, a phone and a laptop, or any other two mobile kits you might need to listen to.
This headset isn’t limited to connecting via Bluetooth; it can also connect via a wired 3.5mm jack for plugging it into anything else for music or portable gaming—so if you had to travel with a bunch of portable devices (assuming you’re the typical gadgeteer who travels with a minimum “survival pack” that includes a music player, two mobile phones, laptop, eBook reader and a portable gaming console) and had room for only one pair of in-ears? This is something you might want to check out if only to lessen the amount of cables that you have to stuff in your pocket (or pull out during airport security checks).
The Clipper is due out first in the UK for the equivalent of $62, and should see an international release soon after.
