Taiwan’s Kingmax technology, a company known for their computer memory products and flash memory storage, has just come out with a nifty new iPhone 3G/3GS protective case that integrates an extra battery for longer playtimes.

Simply called the iPhone Power Case, the new accessory integrates a 1500mAh battery that should last longer than the iPhone’s standard built-in 1200mAh battery–a very good addition, especially since multimedia use (games and videos) seem to drain it so fast, you’d wonder if it’s worth owning an iPhone for its multimedia features in the first place.

Once an iPhone is connected, the case switches the phone to draw power from the extra pack first before draining the built-in battery that can provide up to 270 extra hours of standby time. As an extra feature, the iPhone Power Case also comes with a LED power indicator that displays the battery‘s charge level.

Pricing and availability isn’t available yet, but Kingmax is also set to come out with similar products for other smartphones in the future, including BlackBerry, HTC, Samsung, and Nokia handsets.
