Coming in candy-colored tones that wrap around to the interior panels, Sony offers even more customization options with patterns and different colored keyboard skins that allow you to make your “E” truly unique. Because really, don’t you just hate it when you enter a café and see someone else who has a laptop that looks exactly like yours? That’s embarrassing, right? (Right?)

The VAIO E isn’t just a notebook with pretty panels though; it also packs an above-average spec based on Intel’s Core platform–sort of like the tech equivalent of the “melts in your mouth, not in your hand” candy cliche. The base $800 model runs on a 2.13GHz Core i3-330M processor, 4GBs of DDR3 memory, Intel’s GMA HD integrated graphics, 500GB 5400rpm hard drive and CD/DVD burner, but  further upgrade options allow you to push the VAIO E’s “pretty decent” performance to “cheerleader-that-graduates-with-honors” level.

Different-colored keyboard covers let you mix and match. But if you mix bright purple with carribean green, the universe will implode. You have been warned.

Upgrade options include a 2.40GHz Core i5-520M processor, up to 8GBs of memory, a faster 7200rpm hard drive, Blu-ray drive, and (oh yeah) ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 dedicated graphics with up to 512MB of video RAM. The standard kit comes with an integrated Motion Eye webcam, Wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity, an HDMI out port, eSATA and USB ports, and ExpressCard and memory card slots, plus a full-sized keyboard (with numpad) that spans the length of the notebook.

Each VAIO E Series notebook can be ordered in any one of these colors: Coconut White, Lava Black, Hibiscus Pink, Iridescent Blue, and Caribbean Green. A sixth “Gunmetal Black” color will be released on February 7th for those of you with more mellow, conventional color tastes.

Yeah, the porn star. Actually, the self-styled “nerd of porn” isn’t just a pretty face (or an awesome rack). She’s actually a member of Mensa, technically making her a certified genius. She studied piano and performed at Carnegie Hall twice before reaching 15 and taught English at a college in Japan by 16 before running away from home for a career that made her famous. Don’t ask why we know that. Or why we brought it up. We just thought you might find it interesting.
