Here’s the last Apple-tablet piece we’re (probably) going to run before the expected launch tomorrow: Evidently, Apple’s tablet (the iSlate?) will run on a modified version of the iPhone’s operating system. This bit of news comes from Terry McGraw, CEO of publisher McGraw-Hill during a CNBC interview.
McGraw spilled the beans at around the 2:50 mark of the video. If you don’t have the time to run through the whole business segment, here’s what we learned:
1. It’s going to run on a variant of the iPhone OS; it’s going to come with a bigger screen after all.
2. McGraw-Hill, among others, will be providing eBooks for the tablet, so you might want to delay that Kindle purchase before checking this out first.
3. McGraw says the tablet will be launched during Apple’s event tomorrow
4. CNBC anchor Erin Burnett is a good reason to watch CNBC, even if you’re not into business news. The 3 minutes’ worth of general business talk before the Apple news came around? Totally worth it.
5. Apparently, Erin Burnett likes the smell of new textbooks.
We should know the final details in a few hours, during Apple’s event.
