MSI has begun shipping their new Pine Trail-based netbook, the 10-inch Wind U135 to the US. So if you’re looking for a faster netbook that runs longer away from a power socket, here’s the lowdown: The U135 will run on the new 1.66GHz Atom N450 processor that promises a battery life of up to 7.5 hours (using its standard 3-cell battery).
While the December launch outlined a model that comes with a 250GB hard drive, it’s listed on Amazon to come with a smaller 160GB hard drive, with a standard spec that includes 1GB of memory, Wi-fi n connectivity, Bluetooth, Webcam, stereo speakers, and a Windows 7 Starter Edition operating system.

The netbook’s body has also been redesigned to match the new standard, with a chiclet-type keyboard, a 20% wider touchpad, and a shell designed with stylized patterns to improve the overall look.
The MSI Wind U135 is available now on Amazon in black, white, red and blue shell, with prices that range from $317 to $325. MSI lists an upgraded model that adds a 250GB hard drive and a 6-cell battery for $360, but is currently “out of stock.”
