HTC HD2 extended battery adds 9 hours of video Clove HD2 extended battery

After coming out with quite a few iconic smartphones recently, HTC’s HD2 has been gaining a lot of ground because of an excellent mix of high-spec (starting with a 4.3-inch screen) and high-performance (thanks to the 1GHz Snapdragon processor and WinMo 6.5 OS) bundled into a slim frame. In case you need to squeeze a little more juice from a smartphone that already comes with a battery that’s listed to play music for up to 12 hours, you might want to check this out.

It’s a really simple add-on from accessory-maker Clove Technology—basically nothing more than a battery-slash-rear plate that’s just a little bit chunkier than the HD2’s stock pack, but adds a considerable amount of play-time for this phone for mobile entertainment purposes (and why wouldn’t you? That’s a 4.3-inch wide screen, people). The extended battery looks truly meant for entertainment purposes, adding a kickstand that’ll let you set it on a tabletop without having to prep it up against a coffee cup while you watch hands-free.

If you own an HD2, this accessory will cost you the equivalent of $85. Of course, the downside is that it does add a few millimeters to an otherwise sleek phone. Nevertheless, it’s still very pocketable, even with the added “bump,” and the added hours (up to 9 hours of video playback, which is awesome for a mobile device) should make it worth your while.
