Here’s something that we’ve never seen before. It’s called the iTamtam M1, recently unveiled by French design company Branex Design (at least we’re guessing they’re French. Their website is in a language that sounds really French-y). It’s an iPod dock shaped like a stool. In other words, it’s an iPod dock-slash-stool that you can actually sit on.

There’s really not much else into it. It’s that simple: there’s an iPod dock along the top edge, while four 1.5-inch tweeters and a 5.25-inch subwoofer are crammed under the part where you usually park your hiney. It looks a bit dangerous to sit on while an iPod is docked into it, but the iTam Tam also comes with a 3.5mm jack for attaching other audio sources safely.

It’ll be available in different colors (pink, blue, green, orange, red, purple, yellow, black and white) for $570. $570! For a colored stool with speakers? Well, we guess it’s okay… if you have $570, an iPod, and an unexplainable need for a colored stool with speakers that’ll charge your iPod. (Who doesn’t?) It’s funny how this thing reminds us of that time we were high, thinking, “man I wish I had a stool with speakers that can charge my iPod.”
