Gateway unveils Pine Trail based LT21 netbook LT21redGateway goes with the flow by updating their new LT21 netbooks with Pine Trail Atom processors. First, the basics: they’re standard-sized, with 10.1-inch screens, running on Intel’s N450 Atom processor, “A full 1GB of memory” (according to the product page), and a hard drive that starts out at 160GB.

The rest of the spec is pretty standard (bordering on, well, boring), with integrated graphics (Intel’s GMA 3100), integrated HD Audio (supports High-Def audio), and built-in Wi-fi (802.11b/g/n). But despite the average spec, the LT21 does have a refined look and feel to it, with a textured palm rest, silver trim, and glossy stylized lid. The whole system measures less than an inch thick too, with a weight of 2.76-pounds (that includes the standard 6-cell battery that’s listed to last for up to 8 hours) that makes it easy to pack and easy to lug around.

We’re giving it style points for keeping the clean and classy look (although the “points” we give out are worthless, anyway. They’re like imaginary Disney Dollars). Available in Cherry Red, NightSky Black and Glacier White, the Gateway LT21 is due out later this month.
