MSI gave out the specs for their upcoming netbooks based on Intel’s new Pine Trail Atom processors. Two of their Wind netbook models will get an update to the new Atom platform, with both the U130 and U135 set to be equipped with the 1.66GHz N450 that promises to give the netbooks a longer battery life.
The two 10-inch netbook models feature the same exterior and build, but fit different specs under the lid, with the U130 coming with a standard 160GB hard drive and black or white color options. The U135 comes with a larger 250GB hard drive, and is available in different colors that include blue, red and silver. Both Wind netbooks will come with a built-in 1.3MP webcam, stereo speakers, Wi-fi b/g/n, Ethernet LAN, and Bluetooth connectivity, a LED-backlit 1024×600 screen, and a Windows 7 Starter operating system.
The Wind U130 is expected to ship for around $350, while the U135 adds $100 to the price. Both netbooks are expected to be released early next month.
