Sony’s PlayStation Digital Comics service is now live across different markets. The new service lets users download digital issues of comic books for reading on a PSP using a free Digital Comics Reader.
Available titles will stretch across different niches and genres, including popular mainstream titles such as Marvel’s Spider-man, X-Men, and The Hulk, as well as Disney comics, Transformers, G.I.Joe, Star Trek, and Archie. The free reader app lets users zoom in and out of the frames, and comes with an AutoFlow feature that guides readers through the comics as the artists intended.

The service is now available across several countries, including Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, South Africa, the UK, and the US. Prices for comic book downloads vary, although the service now offers Marvel’s more popular titles (including issues first printed decades ago) for $1.99. They’re also offering free digital comics on the website to let users try it out.
