JVC has released a new personal speaker kit along their Made for iPod line called the XS-SR3. The new kit distinguishes itself among thousands of other iPod dock-speakers with a tubular design, Dolby Virtual Surround quality audio, and a cradle that rotates—for a nice, widescreen view of videos playing on an iPod touch or iPhone.

The XS-SR3 blasts 5W of total power in a compact body, with an Active Hyper Bass feature through a pair of Neodymium Magnet speakers. The kit also offers virtual surround sound for other devices (such as a laptop or portable game console) that can be plugged in via standard analog or optical input ports.

The speaker kit is set to ship within December for $150, and is bundled with a wireless remote and four iPod adapters for fitting other iPod models.
