MSI has just announced a new X-Slim ultraportable, the X430, which serves as an update to the older 14-inch X410. The slim exterior is pretty much identical to the X410, although the newer model does come with a number of spec upgrades, beginning with a better Athlon Neo X2 dual core processor and a Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.
The X430 is also equipped with better graphics, with a Radeon HD3200 (compared to the Radeon X1250 on the older model). The rest of the spec stays the same though, with up to 2GBs of memory, up to 500GBs of storage, Gigabit LAN and Wi-fi networking, and a 4-cell standard battery.
The notebook’s light, sub-1.5Kg shell also integrates a built-in card reader, 1.3MP webcam, an HDMI port, and optional Bluetooth connectivity. MSI also offers an optional external Blu-ray drive.
