AT&T has announced that they’re set to release HP’s iPAQ Glisten smartphone. The Windows Mobile 6.5-based phone is highlighted by a 2.5-inch, 65,000-color resistive touch AMOLED screen, and a flush set of connectivity and productivity features.
The iPAQ Glisten features 3G and Wi-fi connectivity for accessing a number of online apps and shortcuts, including Facebook, The Weather Channel, the Yellow Pages, plus MusicID, XM Radio, and MobiTV multimedia services. It’s also loaded with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer Mobile 6 browser, plus support for AT&T’s AppCenter and Microsoft’s Marketplace for downloading more apps. As a Windows Mobile device, it also comes with the Office Mobile suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) for working on the move.
The phone also comes with a 3.5MP camera a 1590mAh battery listed to give a 5-hour talk time, and a microSD card slot for storage.
Listed as “available soon,” the new iPAQ will cost $180 with a two-year contract and a $50 rebate through AT&T.
