Creative has just unveiled a new update for their Vado HD pocket camcorders. The third-gen Vado HD comes with a better HD CMOS sensor that improves light sensitivity and offers manual exposure, as well as touch-sensitive controls for instant idiot-proof video recording.

The 3rd-gen Vado HD comes with 4GBs of internal storage, a 2-inch screen, and a sensor that’s capable of recording HD 720p videos (in .mp4 format) at 30 frames per second. RCA, HDMI and USB connectivity is available, plus a multi-function port that allows users to connect a stereo mic or headphones. The package also comes with Creative’s Vado Central 3.0 software that allows for instant playback and editing options as well as simplified online uploads.

The new Vado HD pocket camcorder will ship in December for $180. Five body colors are available.
