Nokia has started shipping the E72, the company’s current flagship for their Eseries line of business phones. Basically building on the E71’s success, the E72 basically tweaked on the former’s mono-body design while adding to the spec to make for a solid smartphone.
Screen size is still pretty much the same (at 2.36 inches with a 320 x 240 resolution), as well as the form factor that features a full QWERTY keypad for email and messaging. It also replaces the E71’s 5-way D-pad with a four-way pad and a Navi key at its center. The Navi key is a tiny optical trackpad—a pretty good addition to make web browsing far easier.
The spec has also been nicely upgraded, with a 5MP camera and a faster HSDPA (10Mbps max) support compared to the E71’s 3.2MP cam. Wi-fi and GPS connectivity is also a given.
The E72 will be available in 3 colors (Zodium Black, Metal Grey and Topaz Brown) and is selling in Euro markets for 350 Euros ($525) for the unlocked phone without network discounts.
