Sanyo intros AA battery powered charger Sanyo Eneloop Stick Booster

Here’s a pretty good idea that just about anyone can use: a compact battery pack that can charge mobile devices. Released by Sanyo in Japan, the Eneloop Stick Booster charges mobile devices such as cellphones, portable gaming devices and audio players through a miniUSB port, and is powered by a pair of Sanyo’s Eneloop batteries.

Sanyo claims the Stick Booster to be better than other mobile chargers that use dry cells, thanks to output control tech that allows the Booster to charge devices that need a higher current (such as the iPhone) properly. The aluminum case takes in two AA-sized Sanyo rechargeable (and replaceable) Eneloop batteries and sports a small switch along the side to turn it on and off.

It’s set to be released in Japan for the equivalent of $34 in December, but it’s unknown when it’ll ship outside the country.

    I think it's kind of weird that there's a AA battery charger for the almost any kind of battery needed. And to think that it's usb powered. it's weird. But i think this is a good idea because it can be used with any device. Other than that, it's a weird but in a good way.
