Lenovo’s new ThinkCentre all-in-one desktop targets the workplace

Lenovo ThinkCentre A70z

Lenovo has introduced a new all-in-one desktop along their ThinkCentre line, the A70z. The first all-in-one to specifically target the needs of small to large businesses, this compact desktop comes with a wide range of configurations with a price that starts out at $499.

The all-in-one system includes a 19-inch, 16:10 widescreen LCD monitor, plus a spec that has options from Celeron Dual Core processors to more powerful Intel Core 2 Duos. The standard system comes with up to 500GBs of storage, a DVD drive, the usual USB and audio connections, plus optional wi-fi connectivity and high-res Webcam to go with a built-in Skype application for videoconferencing.

Lenovo has also announced a more standard tower desktop, the ThinkCentre A58e, which coms at a more affordable price, but with a spec that’s leans more towards entry-level and mainstream business use. Up to 320GBs of storage and up to 2GBs of memory can be configured, along with the standard DVD burner and a choice of processors from Intel’s Celeron to Core 2 Duo CPUs. The A58e also features Lenovo’s Power Manager that’s listed to reduce electricity costs by up to 69 percent per year.

The ThinkCentre A70z all-in-one will be available by the end of November, while the ThinkCentre A58e is now available with models starting from $349.
