Chinon outs iPod stereo with 7-inch screen, DTV tuner

Chinon has just released the AVi, an iPod dock that comes with stereo speakers, a 7-inch LCD screen, and a digital TV and FM Radio tuner. The LCD screen on the front sports a 480 x 234 resolution displays videos and photo slideshows stored on the connected iPod (at least for the models that support the TV out feature), as well as for showing digital TV broadcasts.

MSI outs Athlon Neo X2-powered X-Slim notebook

MSI X-Slim X430MSI has just announced a new X-Slim ultraportable, the X430, which serves as an update to the older 14-inch X410. The slim exterior is pretty much identical to the X410, although the newer model does come with a number of spec upgrades, beginning with a better Athlon Neo X2 dual core processor and a Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

LG BL40 Chocolate Christmas EditionLG has announced that they’ll be coming out with a new special Christmas Edition of the BL40 Chocolate phone. The holiday-themed variant of the BL40 will come with a different black glossy exterior with gold accents and an upgraded 8MPautofocus cam (over the 5MP cam on the regular BL40). It’s been announced to come out in South Korea though, with no news of its availability in other markets.

HP iPaq GlistenAT&T has announced that they’re set to release HP’s iPAQ Glisten smartphone. The Windows Mobile 6.5-based phone is highlighted by a 2.5-inch, 65,000-color resistive touch AMOLED screen, and a flush set of connectivity and productivity features.

Amazon updates Kindle reader with firmware upgrade

Amazon_KindleAmazon has released a new firmware update for their 6-inch Kindle eBook reader, giving the older model PDF support and a longer (85% longer) battery life. The firmware update will come with new Kindle shipments, but will be downloadable for all the older Kindles (first and second-gen) through the device’s 3G connection.

The two offer fairly light, consumer-centric designs that are designed with social networking in mind, although the 6700 slide is a Symbian-based smartphone. The 7230, on the other hand, runs on an S40 interface, and is packed with basic features for a more buyer-friendly price tag.

The faster connection offers transfer rates of up to 130MB/s (three times faster than a USB 2.0 connection), making it ideal for working with high-bandwidth tasks such as video editing and media streaming.
