HDTV brand VIZIO has announced two small-screen HDTVs under their new Razor LED line. The 19-inch VM190XVT and the 23-inch VM230XVT both feature a profile that’s less than an inch thick, and feature LED-backlit panels and energy saving features.
Both panels feature a 20,000:1 contrast ratio and 5ms response time and are capable of displaying HD video. This is where they differ though; the 23-inch Razor TV is capable of 1080p resolutions while the 19-inch model is limited to a 720p resolution. Both also feature a flat front face covered end-to-end by a glass cover, with touch-sensitive controls under it that light up when touched, plus an ambient light sensor that controls the backlight intensity to save on power when strong light isn’t needed.
The two Razor models also come with support for SRS TruSurround HD audio, plus a slideshow feature that enables them to act like photo frames when a USB drive is plugged in.
The 19-inch VM190XVT will sell for $350, while the 23-inch VM230XVT is priced at $400. Both should be available soon.
