Apple has just introduced a new wireless mouse called the Magic Mouse, which features Multi-Touch technology similar to what Apple built onto the iPhone’s screen and the MacBook’s trackpad.
The slim, smooth mouse doesn’t come with regular mechanical buttons, instead featuring a multi-touch surface that supports a number of gestures—scrolling can be done with a finger, flipping of pages and photos can be done with two fingers, and the usual clicking and double-clicking can be done anywhere on the mouse with taps. Built-in tech enables it to tell the difference between a scroll with a swipe, or between a tap or if a hand is simply resting on it.

It connects using Bluetooth with a range of up to 33 feet awat, and tracks on surfaces using a laser tracker that’s more sensitive and precise than regular optical tracking. Gesture settings and preferences can be done using the packaged software.
The Magic Mouse comes standard with the new iMac and will be sold as a separate accessory for $69.
