Logitech has just announced a new keyboard under their G (gaming) line, the G110, which features the usual customizable keys to the left that can be programmed with macro commands and backlit keys. What’s new with this kit is the custom-color backlighting, which can be changed by mixing red and blue LEDs along with the light’s intensity to set the mood just right.

As should be expected from high-end keyboard, a lot of thought has been put into the design. The top edge of the G110 also comes with mic and audio ports for connecting a headset, plus a USB 2.0 port for connecting a gaming mouse. To reduce cable clutter, the underside is built with grooves to keep the cables out of the way. Logitech has also added one of gamers’ most requested features into this new keyboard: a button that disables the Windows/Context menu key to eliminate accidental “exit to desktop” presses while gaming.
Other features include dedicated media control keys, plus a removable palm rest for comfort.
The G110 falls somewhere along the mid-range of Logitech’s gaming kits, priced at $80 (still cheaper than the older–but still awesome–G15). It’s set to be released by January 2010.
