Acer unveils Android based Liquid smart phone Acer Liquid

Acer has officially announced a high-end smartphone called the Liquid, which runs on Google’s Android 1.6 (Donut) operating system and Qualcomm’s 768MHz Q8250 Snapdragon mobile processor.

The handset is a full touchscreen phone that’s highlighted by a spacious 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touch display, as well as just about everything you’d come to expect on a performance smartie: quad-band GSM support, HSDPA 7.2Mbps, HSUPA, Wi-fi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity, plus a 5MP camera with autofocus that supports geo-tagging.

Acer also lists other features to expect, such as an improved power management feature to prolong battery life, a graphic user interface that gives easy access to entertainment apps and web shortcuts, plus data integration that pulls data from sites such as Facebook and Twitter to keep you updated. Acer also adds an exclusive Spinlets app that provides free streaming of music and video that can be shared through web posts and emails.

The Acer Liquid will be available in red, black and white colors, and should be out in time for this year’s holidays.
