Memorex, Imation’s consumer electronics sub-brand, has recently unveiled two new pocket camcorder models under their MyVideo line: the Memorex MyVideo and MyVideo HD. Available in black or white colors, both models offer one-touch video recording with a compact kit that features a 2-inch LCD display.

Recording quality separates the two models: the entry-level MyVideo captures video in standard definition VGA quality and snaps 640 x 480 still images, while the MyVideo HD supports 720p HD videos and 5MP stills. The HD model also comes with larger internal storage at 4GB (compared to the cheaper version’s 2GB drive), and adds an HDMI port, but offers a shorter 2.5-hour battery life (the lesser model promises a 5-hour battery). Both models can connect directly to a TV via an A/V cable for instant playback and to PCs via a USB cable.

The MyVideo VGA camcorder is priced at $100, while the HD version is selling for $130.
