HP’s new line of Win 7-ready products also includes two more touchscreen-PCs that makes good use of the new operating system’s multi-touch feature: the TouchSmart tx2 notebook tablet, and the Touchsmart 9100, a 23-inch all-in-one desktop.
The TouchSmart 9100 is an all-in-one PC that’s built around a 23-inch 1080p multi-touch display. Designed for possible public use as smart kiosks, the system’s optical drives and USB ports can be disabled. It should still prove to be just as good anywhere else though; this all-in-one features a standard spec that includes a 2.1GHZ Core 2 Duo processor, a 250GB hard drive, GeForce G200 integrated graphics, and DVI, USB, and FireWire connectivity.

The TouchSmart tablet is actually an update to an existing model that primarily features new touch-based apps for the TouchSmart interface. The new convertible tablet still keeps its 12.1-inch screen size and stylized shell as well as the 2.2GHz AMD Turion X2 processor and Radeon HD 3200 graphics chip, but the spec has been slightly upgraded with 4GBs of memory and a faster 7200rpm hard drive.
The updated tx2 tablet should ship along with Windows 7 by the end of October for $799, while the 9100 all-in-one’s price starts at $1,299 with a December release.
