Sony launches VAIO L all in one PCs Sony VAIO L

Sony has just launched a new all-in-one desktop PC called the VAIO L, which runs on Windows 7 and supports multi-touch features on its 24-inch display.

The VAIO L comes with options that range from Intel Pentium dual core to Core 2 Quad processors, up to 6GBs of DDR2 memory, and a choice between Nvidia’s GeForce GT 240M (1GB VRAM) or G210M (512MB VRAM) for graphics. Up to 1TB orf storage space can also be picked up, along with a choice between a slot-loading BD/ DVD combo drive or a BD burner. Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity comes standard, plus a multi-card reader and Webcam is built-into the frame.

Everything revolves around the 24-inch touchscreen though, with a full HD (1080p) resolution and an interface that supports multi-touch gestures (taps, dragging, flicks, and pinching) to move and edit objects around the screen. Of course, users can always lean back and still do things the old way—the package comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse, plus a remote control for multimedia.

The VAIO L’s price starts at $1,300 and is set to ship in November.
