Western Digital has just announced an update of their My Passport Elite external hard drive. The new models now feature a more curved exterior shell, an illumuinated capacity gauge, and a drive lock indicator for easily checking on capacity and security.

Available in 3 colors (red, blue, and charcoal) and three capacities (320, 500, and 640GB), the new drive also feature automatic and continuous backups and 256-bit encryption through the preloaded WD SmartWare app.

It’s completely bus-powered and connects through the USB 2.0 interface, but the box also includes a new grab-and-go dock for easily connecting and disconnecting the drive to desktops and workstations.

The new My Passport Elite drives are available now for $119.99 for the 320GB model, $159.99 for the 500 GB and $169.99 for the 640 GB version.
