Sony has just launched the Bravia XBR10 HDTVs, a new line of LCD TVs that can connect to other sources wirelessly. No cable mess, no fuss.

The XBR10 sports Sony’s premium HDTV features, including an LED-backlit panel with a 1080p resolution, 1M:1 contrast ratio and MotionFlow 240Hz refresh rates, but the most notable feature on this set is the 1080p wireless transmission feature. Basically, it comes with a Wireless media box that acts as the connection hub to everything—set top boxes, Ethernet cable, component system, etc—and the box wirelessly transmits the audio and 1080p quality video signals to the TV on the wall to spare you from having to hide all the cables.

The XBR10 also connects to a broadband connection for streaming in on-demand entertainment from providers such as Netflix, Slacker Radio, YouTube™, Sports Illustrated, Sony Pictures, Sony Music and Epicurious.com. A widget-based interface is also available to give a customized look with easy access to online info, including news, sports, and weather updates.

The Bravia XBR10 is set to ship in October, and is available in two screen sizes: 46 inches for $4,500 and 52 inches for $5,000.
