Online movie store Film Fresh has just offered a service that allows for downloads of full movies encoded in the DivX format. Both old and new movies are available from studios such as Paramount, Sony, Lionsgate and Warner.

The DivX format should cater to a wide range of players that include PCs and Macs as well as BD and DVD players that support the format. The movie prices vary, with newer releases such as W or The Watchmen priced at $15.99, while classics and not-so-new popular titles such as The Godfather or Iron Man can be downloaded for $9.99. The site also offers downloads with or without subtitles, and sells the DVD for each title for $4 more than the download price.
