OCZ unveils affordable SLC-based Agility EX SSD
Storage - Thursday, August 27th, 2009

OCZ has just announced the Agility EX series of solid state drives that bears the distinction of currently being the industry’s most affordable SLC (single-level cell) NAND-based SSD.
The OCZ Agility EX is designed with a slim, lightweight alloy housing and features an Indilinx controller and a 64MB cache for read and write speeds of up to 255MB/s and 195MB/s respectively.
SLC NAND drives provides faster write speeds and increased durability with a lesser likelihood of error compared to MLC (multi-level cell) NAND. As a solid state drive, the Agility EX is naturally more rugged and more energy efficient compared to traditional hard drives.
The Agility EX is currently only available in 60GBs, with an MSRP of $399.
