Nokia taking preorders for 5530 XpressMusic
Mobile Phones - Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Nokia’s touch-based 5530 XpressMusic is now being offered for preorders through their website. Seen as a “Lite” version of the 5800 XpressMusic, the 5530 XM sheds off some of its predecessor’s features to keep the unlocked handset’s price down to below $300.
It’s still a Symbian-based smartphone with a 2.9-inch touchscreen and a 3.2MP camera, but the main difference would be the absence of 3G connectivity on the 5530 XM, leaving Wi-fi and EDGE support for connecting to a network.
The Nokia 5530 XM is priced at $290 for the unlocked handset in either black or white colors. Nokia wil ship a free MD-8 speaker set to those who sign up for preorders.
