Active Media Products intros 2-in-1 USB Pen

Active Media’s new device fuses two everyday basics by fitting a flash drive inside a premium ballpoint pen. Tagged as the Executive I (which might mean that there’s more to come), the device is designed with premium materials that include a carbon fiber barrel and a chrome-plated upper half. The chromed upper unscrews to reveal a 4GB USB 2.0 drive that should work on Macs and PCs.

There are currently no details on read and write speeds, but the focus is obviously on the pen’s styling and feel; despite having a USB drive taking up almost half of the pen, it’s listed to feel “exceptionally balanced” and “not at all bulky.” Of course, we can’t be sure of everything that’s listed on the release, but we’re at least positive that if you combine a pen with a USB drive, you get less stuff in your pocket.

The Executive I is out now on Amazon for $15.95 and comes with a black “happy birthday, boss!”-ready gift box.
