Sony has just announced the upcoming release of a pair of 32GB Memory Sticks along the brand’s PRO-HG Duo HX and PRO Duo lines of recordable media. The PRO HG Duo HX features a faster 20MB/s peak read speed and a 15MB/s peak write speed, which is around three times faster than the PRO Duo for working with Sony’s camcorders and digicams that need the performance. The PRO Duo Memory Stick is for all-around use, such as Sony’s consumer digicams, media players and consoles.

The 32GB PRO-HG Duo HX Memory Stick retails for $249, while the 32GB PRO Duo will cost $200. Both cards are expected to be released by the end of September.
