Logitech unveils wireless guitar for Xbox 360
Consoles, Gaming Gear - Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Logitech has just announced a wireless guitar controller for the Xbox 360. Everything’s pretty standard in terms of controls for Guitar Hero with a touch-sensitive neck slider and a star power button, but Logitech’s axe boasts authentic materials that include a wood neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and metal frets and tuning pegs to give you the solid feel of a real electric guitar… but without the strings.

The “feel” is where this controller stands out. The strum bar has been made to be quiet, and the fret buttons won’t give a cheap rattling sound. Combined with the solid build, these little details add to a device that offers less cheap controller noise and more immersion with the music.

It’s also wireless with a range of up to 30 feet—it connects to the console with a quick press of an Xbox 360 Guide button–allowing you to strut around the living room and roll around the floor like only a guy pretending to rock out on a fake stringless guitar can.

Logitech’s Wireless Guitar Controller for the Xbox 360 is out now, with a retail price of $200.
