Acer has unveiled a new Veriton nettop called the N260G that features a very compact, almost-zero footprint (if mounted behind a VESA compatible display). Designed for office and classroom use, the N260G runs a power-efficient spec that includes a 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of memory (2GB max), integrated Intel GMA 4500M graphics, and a 160GB hard drive.
The rest of the standard spec includes HDMI output, Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-fi connectivity, built-in audio, and a card reader.
It looks similar to the more consumer-centric, Nvidia ION-powered Aspire Revo, but the Veriton is set up to be more business-oriented. Features include Acer’s OneButton Recovery feature for easy system restoration, a QuickMigration app that enables quick data transfers from another PC via a network cable, and an eLock Management app for security.
The Acer Veriton N260G is now available, with a base price of $399.
