Casio has just announced two new additions to their Exilim Zoom line of compact digicams, the Exilim Zoom EX-Z450 and the EX-Z90. Both come equipped with Intelligent AF, a new function that can detect non-human subjects and adjusts the focus and exposure area accordingly–sort of like face detection for shooting things without faces.
The new Exilims also add improvements to the Dynamic Photo feature that enables users to crop out images of a moving subject and combine them with a different still image (as long as the background is flat and in one color).
Both cams are built with 12.1-megapixel sensors, although the Z450 adds a wide-angle 28mm 4X optical zoom lens, a CCD-shift image stabilization mechanism, plus extra scene options that include a Landscape Mode for taking scenery shots, a Handheld Night Scene Mode and a Makeup Mode that cleans up a person’s skin. It also has a 10fps continuous shooting mode, an AF assist lamp, and a max sensitivity that goes up to ISO 3200.

The more basic Z90 is limited to a 3x optical zoom lens, a 4fps burst, and a max sensitivity of ISO 1600. Both cams can record 720p, 24fps HD videos, store media in SDHC cards.
The EX-Z450 is priced at $200 and will be available in only one color (champagne), while the EX-Z90 is set to sell for $150 in three colors: black, silver, and pink. Both cams are scheduled to be released in October.
